In class, you have worked as representatives of the United States , France ,
England , Italy , and Germany to author a peace agreement
to officially bring an end to World War I.
For this blog assignment, each group should post the peace treaty that
they have constructed. The post should
be written in the following format:
“We hereby agree to the following as terms for ending the
hostilities between the ‘Allied Powers’ – represented by The United States of
America, England, France, Great Britain, and Italy, and the ‘Central Powers’ –
represented by Germany and her allies:”
In the following space, you should list point by point in
detail the terms of the treaty upon which you have compromised.
Finally, your post should end as follows:

Germany will be aloud 5 U-boats for defensive purposes only and must notify the League of Nations when using the U-boats. They must also notify the League of Nations when manufacturing new weapons. They are not aloud use of the Paris Gun and can lead no more than 250000 soldiers into battle.
All seas will be open to trade.
The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk will be stripped of Germany and the remaining land will be made into new countries.
Austria-Hungary will pay Italy for reparations.
France will get Alsace-Lorraine back from Germany.
No country will interfere with Russia and its economy.
Germany will pay France for its reparations.
Austro-Hungarians will be aloud to choose their own ethnic group.
Great Britain will remain the dominant power of the seas.
There will be no more secret alliances by any couintry.
The Ottoman Empire will be split into 4 separate parts between England, France, Italy, and the United States of America.

*Germany shall give up all of their future weapon designs in order to keep their colonies.
*Germany is to be strpped of half of their land they gained from Russia.
*Germany receives NONE of the Ottoman Empire.
*England gets present day Turkey of the Ottoman Empire.
*Italy gets the Italian ethnic areas of the Austria-Hungarian Empire.
*Germany and France are to split France's war debt 50/50.
*Germany is to take all blame for the start of the war.
*There will be no secret alliances.
*Germany can keep their treaty with Russia.
*There will be open seas.
*A league of nations will be set up.
*Italy gets the Cyrus area of the Ottoman Empire, also the border of the black sea for trade routes.
*Lastly,France gets the land to the west of present day Turkey of the Ottoman Empire.

1. The Ottoman Empire is to be divided ½ for England, ½ for France and Italy gets the coast line.
2. Germany must dismantle their U-boats and must send out warning shots before attacking.
3. Germany must reduce the size of their military and no big weaponry. The amount of machinery must be limited.
4. Germany may keep their sea ports.
5. Germany will be stripped of all colonies and will be divided among the United States.
6. All country militaries are to be kept in their own territory.
7. A League of Nations will be set up to guarantee political and territorial independence of all nations.
8. Germany must pay for the recovery of the countries they invaded.
9. Belgium will be a neutral country like it was before the war.
10. Germany is to be stripped of their territory that they have gained from Russia in the Treaty of Brest-Litosvk.
11. No more secret alliances.
12. Italy gets the island of Cypress.
13. Ensure that peoples living within the borders of the old Austria-Hungary Empire have the right of self-determination in forming new nations.

• Italy gets western territory of Austria Hungary along the Adriatic Sea.
• Italy gets North and Northwestern territory along entire Black Sea coast in Ottoman Empire, western side along Aegean Sea, and the island Cyprus for trading routes and land.
• Italy gets Northern Territory of claim from the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk land, along the Baltic Sea and a little southward.
• Austria -Hungary will pay Italy for medical bills for troops, food for troops and cities, clothes, and blankets.
• England will receive the southern part of Ottoman Empire along Mediterranean Sea.
• Germany will pay for damages done to France and on the Pathway to Paris.
• Germany is not allowed to attack France with U-boats or any artillery attacks.
• Germany's troops must leave Russia. Russia should be left to develop her own political set-up.
• Germany may have troops and artillery back that was positioned on Paris from France.
• There will be a de-militarized zone that is 10 miles wide at the France-German border.
• Germany will not give England U-boats.
• There will be no more secret alliances.
• Free navigation of all seas for all nations is now in order.
• There will be an end to all economic barriers between countries. This will allow every nation allowance to trade places around the world.
• All decisions regarding the colonies should be impartial.
• Belgium should be independent like before war.
• France will be fully liberated and allowed to recover Alsace-Lorraine
• All Italians are to be allowed to live in Italy. Italy's borders are to be 'along clearly recognizable lines of nationality.'
• Self- determination should be allowed for all those living in Austria-Hungary.
• Self-determination and guarantees of independence should be allowed for the Balkan states.
• The Turkish people should be governed by the Turkish government. People who aren't Turks should govern themselves.
• An independent Poland should be created which should have access to the sea
• A League of Nations should be set up to guarantee the political and territorial independence of all the states.

Germany is to pay France 1 million dollars, Great Britain 750,000 dollars, and Italy 250,000 for damage repairs.
All troops are to be withdrawn from foreign territories.
Germany is to discontinue the production of U-Boats.
Germany can only have 500,000 soldiers in battle at one time, but may have soldiers in training.
Germany is to return the Alsace Loraine territory back to France.
There will be free trade at sea.
Germany is to surrender half of its oversea colonies to the Allied powers.
The Allied Powers are granted all rights to the resources in the Treaty of Brest-Litousk land.
